CONCRÈME – the ultimate sealing technology for the protection of engineering concrete

CONCRÈME™ is the the ultimate sealing technology for the protection of engineering concrete and masonry from damage caused by water and water bourne salts. CONCRÈME™ is the worlds only low VOC silane which passes California’s new strict VOC guidelines and the new international VOC guidelines. CONCRÈME™ is a permanent bonding alkyl alkoxy silane in an aqueous cream.

CONCRÈME is suitable for a wide variety of applications, including marine infrastructure such as wharves and jetties, road and rail bridge decks, building facades, car parks and swimming pool surrounds. It is an ideal product for the preservation of infrastructure.

  • Treated exposed surfaces become easier to maintain and keep looking good for longer.
  • CONCRÈME™ is applied in a single application.
  • Able to repel water and chloride ion (97 per cent reduction); non film-forming; deep penetration – 14 mm into concrete pavers.
  • Able to work without changing the appearance or frictional properties of the surface – keeps the original look; a non-drip gel
  • Ideal for use in windy conditions; is able to breathe so there is no build-up of subsurface moisture – allowing it dry out
  • Very alkali resistant – won’t breakdown in contact with cement-based materials
  • Able to seal hairline cracks up to 0.3 mm (0.012 in.)
  • It is not a surface epoxy, polyurethane or acrylic, so will not flake or peel

A 30-YEAR PERFORMANCE WARRANTY is offered when CONCRÈME is applied by an accredited applicator following our written instructions and tested by us.

Application rates:
One quart per 40 sq.ft. (1 litre per 4 sq.m.) depending on surface absorption.

How to use:
1. ALWAYS TEST PRODUCT ON A SMALL AREA FIRST and allow a 24-hour cure time to determine the ease of application and desired results.
2. Surfaces to be treated must be dry, clean and free of residues, and surface temperature between 40 – 95°F (5 – 35°C).
3. Generously coat the surface with an even layer of CONCRÈME™ using a foam roller, brush or similar.
4. Leave the product to penetrate for minimum of 1 hour, then thoroughly polish off ALL excess product with a clean dry cloth/s. Estimated application rate: 1 Quart per 40 sq.ft. (1 Litre per 4 sq.m.) depending on surface absorption. One coat is usually sufficient but a second coat may be applied at any time once the surface becomes touch dry.
5. Use water to clean equipment.
6. Avoid moisture contact with the surface for a minimum of 12 hours after application.
7. Sealer will NOT prevent surface etching or wear and may darken some surfaces temporarily, returning to the original colour over time. To clean treated surfaces use a neutral pH detergent in warm water and a soft cloth or mop.

Precautions, Safety Directions and Storage:
Do not take internally. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhaling vapours. Wear latex gloves and safety googles during application. No smoking, keep away from naked lights or ignition sources. Keep container tightly sealed in a cool, well ventilated place. Use product before expiry date.

First Aid:
If swallowed, give a glass of water and contact a physician. If skin contact occurs remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly. If irritation persists, contact a physician. If in eyes, hold open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes and contact a physician. If vapours are inhaled, relocate to fresh air. If symptoms persist contact a physician.

Spillage – Take up mechanically or with absorbent material such as sand, earth or vermiculite. Remove all ignition sources.

Not regulated for transport of dangerous goods: DOT (Road), IMDG (Ocean), IATA (Air) Transport
